Happy Birthday Your Majesty

Following on from yesterday’s post about our BBQ for the Queen, today we celebrated with A Right Royal Tea Party.

Living on a busy road, we are unable to have Street Party’s, so instead had planned a Garden Party, but in true British weather style it was absolutely tipping it down ☔️, so rather than get soaked like all those that attended The Patron’s Lunch on The Mall, we opted for an indoor Tea Party instead.

With all things British, Tea (of course), Coronation Chicken rolls, Cheese sandwiches, Sausage rolls, Pork Pies, Cocktail sausages, Cheese & Pineapple sticks, Crisps, and a whole host of Special Edition Mr Kipling Cakes, their Victoria/Elisabeth Sponge, French/British Fancies, Cherry Bakewells, Apple Pies, Mini Battenburg’s and Victoria/Elisabeth Slices, and my own homemade Union Jack Crown biscuits.

We do love a Tea Party round here 😋

We spent the rest of the day watching some good old British classic films, Wallace & Gromit & the Curse of the Were-Rabbit, and Paddington Bear.

A lovely way to spend a Sunday.
